Eric Alm’s interests include both computational/theoretical and experimental approaches to understanding the evolution of microorganisms, emphasizing a ‘systems-level’ perspective. His expertise allows him to work closely with the environmental teams to plan and coordinate field sampling design strategies and protocols. He also develops computational tools to analyze environmental data and model microbial communities in the field. These tools are being integrated into KBase.
